Soffit Vent System Features

Air

The Soffit Vent is Code Compliant under the International Code Council (ICC) and the International Residential Code (IRC). The Moisture Flow Soffit Vent is the only soffit vent that effectively displaces a bath fan’s exhaust air outside of the soffit’s passive air stream, prohibiting the exhausted air from reentry into the attic.

The Soffit Vent is a down venting system, which unlike up venting systems, works with the laws of physics rather than against. The Soffit Vent works with gravity to discharge the exhausted air from a bath fan. It helps conserve energy, save money, and promote the longevity of the fan. Down venting also helps prevent condensation in the bath fan’s transition duct by eliminating stack effect.

The Soffit Vent System is Eco-Friendly made of Thrive ®, by International Paper. It is a cellulose fiber composite with the strength and reinforcement found in trees to molded products by International Paper.

The Soffit Vent System is backed by a lifetime warranty of defects and its patented function as a termination of a Bathroom Exhaust Fan ductwork.

The Soffit Vent System comes in white and fits all sizes of soffits.

The attic is not part of the living space, is “out of sight out of mind,” with inspections few and far between.  Once the mold is visible on ceilings and walls beneath the attic, then the mold is already in an advanced stage of growth.  The underlying causes of attic mold and moisture damage are; (1) The bath fan or bath fan transition duct vents directly into the attic, (2) venting directly into the soffit, (3) the deterioration of the common roof vent used for the bath fan exhaust system from climatic conditions that will cause the roof to leak.

Soffit Vent System

The Moisture Flow Soffit Vent System is a preemptive measure that targets attic mold and moisture damage caused by improper venting of a bathroom exhaust fan.
